It's easy being green
with Denmark's trioBike

When it comes to innovative, environmentally friendly bike design where else can you go but Scandinavia? Danish designers have come up with the trioBike, a 3-in-1 utility bike for urban families.

It easily converts from a cargo bike to a bike or just a push-cart without using tools. That makes it a realistic green alternative to driving short-distance trips. Check out the video.

There are six different color options. I think the Knight Rider, above, would appeal to the urban hipsters here in the City of Big Shoulders.

Unfortunately it may be a while before they hit the streets here: a trioBike goes for € 2,251.08 or US$2971.43. In the meantime, check out Chicago Cargo Bike and Trailer Company.
